Description
What if your nervous system isn’t broken, just overwhelmed? In this experiential and educational session, Heather Hendrie, Registered Clinical Counsellor and founder of True Nature Wilderness Therapy, explores how nature can become a powerful partner in healing, regulation, and emotional wellbeing.
Blending neuroscience, attachment theory, and years of clinical experience working outdoors, Heather offers a grounded and compassionate perspective on how stress and trauma are held in the body, and why traditional approaches don’t always reach the root. Through the lens of nature-based therapy, you’ll discover how the natural world can support a shift out of survival mode and into states of connection, clarity, and calm.
This session includes guided reflection and simple, practical practices you can begin using immediately to support nervous system regulation in your everyday life.
Ideal for anyone feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected, as well as those with a professional or personal interest in mental health and wellbeing.
